Museum Closes – Daytime Event Ends

At this time, the ship will close to daytime-pass only visitors. Guests not attending the evening portion of the event will be asked to depart the ship.

For those interested in the evening events, please view the Moonwalker and Dinner Packages available.

For those attending both day and evening events, we will have a lounge area where visitors can rest between the events. It will also be available for those who arrive early for dinner and the reception and will offer soft beverages and light snacks.

A few guided tours will also be offered between 5:00pm–7:30pm. Special docent-led third deck and island tours will be available for those wishing to see the ship; comfortable flat-heeled shoes are recommended.

Last Admission

Entrance gate closes at 4:00pm. Guests arriving at this time will have one hour to view the displays. Please note that the Museum closes at 5:00pm.

Full price admission fees apply—NO discounts on admission prices. Only tickets designated for this specific event will be valid for the day.

Museum Partners Load-Off

Those Museum partners not able to leave their displays overnight start off-loading their equipment and must be finished by 5:00pm so the evening setup can begin.

Bob Fish Presentation & Book Signing

Bob Fish will sign his book Hornet Plus Three—The Story of the Apollo 11 Recovery after his presentation about Hornet's involvement with the recovery of Apollo 11. Key members of the actual Apollo 11 Recovery Team will also provide eyewitness accounts, answer questions from the audience and be available to sign Hornet Plus Three.

This book is available for purchase at the Museum's Ship Store and advance orders are highly recommended to ensure receipt of a copy.

Buzz Aldrin Book Signing

Buzz Aldrin will sign his new book: Mission to Mars: My Vision for Space Exploration

PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Aldrin has stipulated he will only sign copies of his book purchased at the Museum’s Ship Store. He will also NOT sign any other materials, books, or personal items. In order to make this event enjoyable for all our guests, there will be a limit of two (2) books per person.

Daytime Event

The daytime event runs from 10:00am–5:00pm. Admission gate closes one hour before end of daytime event.

  • Meet representatives from NASA and the space industry, including special guest Buzz Aldrin

Only tickets designated for this specific event will be valid for the day.

PLEASE NOTE: Although tickets will be available at the door, purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended for quicker entrance. For those visitors who purchase tickets in advance, there will be a convenient check-in station on the Pier. All youths must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
